NC, PDP, Cong doing propaganda, trying to mislead people of J&K: Ravinder Raina

NC, PDP, Cong, other parties trying to mislead people of J&K, said Ravinder Raina.

"The people of West Pakistani Refugee, Gorkha Samaj, Dalit community were denied their fundamental right to vote and their human rights were violated in Jammu and Kashmir for past 70 years," said Ravinder Raina.

"The Congress party will have to answer to the people of the country, the law which Pandit Nehru brought in 1950, why is the Congress party opposing that law?" said Ravinder Raina.

Ravinder Raina accompanied by MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Dy. CM of J&K Dr. Nirmal Singh, former Dy. CM of J&K Kavinder Gupta, former Minister Sat Sharma, General Secretary Adv. Vibodh Gupta and Secretary Ajay Pargal was addressing media persons at BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

The BJP in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday slammed the NC, PDP and others for raking up the issue of “inclusion of non-local voters” in the revised electoral rolls in the Union Territory and alleged they were spreading propaganda to disturb the peace.

Ravinder Raina said that Representation of Peoples Act 1950 was applicable all over India since 1950 and now it has become applicable to J&K as well after the abrogation of controversial articles 370 and 35 (a). Now with the application of this Act everybody above the age of 18 who is residing in Jammu & Kashmir can participate in the election process, which is a Constitutional process. This is a deliberate malicious attempt of propaganda against the judicial process unleashed by NC, PDP, Congress along with certain other parties.

Raina said that these parties have ruled J&K for over 70 years and always did the politics of divide and rule. Now, when the Modi govt has worked with the principle of "Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas" and J&K is progressing on the path of peace and progress these power hungry parties are getting unnerved. J&K is today progressing towards the golden era of being again recognized as the paradise on Earth, but these parties are running political propagandas to mislead people.

Raina said, "To vote is the right of every citizen of India who is above the age of 18 years. Now after the delimitation, youth above the age of 18 years are being added as new voters, but NC, PDP, Congress are misleading people".

Raina asked that Congress party has to answer that in 1950 Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Congress government brought that law, why congress is doing propaganda against it now.

Raina said that they have themselves contested elections from Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh for their own benefits but when some body who is residing here for many decades are getting rights, these parties are trying to vitiate the atmosphere. We are all residents of 1 nation and there is no discrimination against anyone. Law is same for everyone and Constitution of India has given right to equality to everyone.

Raina added that the people of J&K are residing in Delhi, Maharashtra etc for many years, they have surrendered the vote in J&K and have got voting rights there. There was no propaganda there and no one called them outsiders in those places.

Former CM Mufti 1989 contested elections in Muzaffar Nagar in Uttar Pradesh and later he took oath as Home Minister. Former CM Ghulam Nabi Azad won election from Maharashtra and nobody called him non-local.

Rain said, "WPRs, Valmikis, Gorkhas were residing in J&K for decades but were denied their rights by these parties to vote in assembly, DDC, BDC etc. There were gross human rights violations with these people. Why these parties are opposing rights to these all?"

When they need to contest elections they feel home in every part of Nation but when it comes to give rights to everyone they are unsafe, Raina asked.

For 70 years, there was discrimination with Paharis, Gujjars-Bakkarwals, OBCs but these were never given their rights. These parties are the enemies of people enemies of peace and progress in the Nation, Raina said.

Continuing his tirade against the NC, Congress and PDP, he alleged, ''They have come together under a conspiracy to mislead the public and disturb the peace.

''They have always done their politics over the dead bodies. They are anti-people and least bothered about the prosperity and development of J&K which is taking place at a fast pace under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

''They have enjoyed power only because of boycott politics with the support of separatists and Pakistan. They want a return to bomb attacks, stone pelting and strikes,” he said.

"They were saying that after the abrogation of 370 no body will be there to hoist Tiranga, but they have seen that how enthusiastic people celebrated "Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan" in every corner of Jammu & Kashmir. They have now understood that no body is buying their theories and hence resorting to new propaganda now" Raina said.

He said, "BJP will restore the golden era of Jammu and Kashmir and safeguard the fundamental and human rights of each citizen to make it a heaven on earth once again''.
